More. More! MORE! Cover Creations!
I promise one day I’m going to hold my how cover contest. Maybe once I get something really good to give away! Hmmm… we’ll see what comes up. *grin*
But right now I’m entering a few. One is La Femme Readers’ The Emerald Talisman cover contest and Princess Bookies’ Freefall cover contest.
Originals:
Summary:
To be normal, sixteen-year-old Julia Parker would shed her empathic gift in a second. Life has been difficult since her mother's mysterious disappearance ten years earlier - an event she witnessed, but can't remember. Julia's situation becomes more complicated after a near death experience from a blood thirsty stalker. As high school students go missing it is clear there is a connection to her own experience--past and present. Someone has to stop the madness and a chance encounter with a creepy psychic foretells that only Julia is the key to stopping the madness, but it may require the life of the one she loves.
Summary:
Seth McCoy was the last person to see his best friend Isaac alive, and the first to find him dead. It was just another night, just another party, just another time where Isaac drank too much and passed out on the lawn. Only this time, Isaac didn’t wake up.
Convinced that his own actions led to his friend’s death, Seth is torn between turning his life around . . . or losing himself completely.
Then he meets Rosetta: so beautiful and so different from everything and everyone he's ever known. But Rosetta has secrets of her own, and Seth will soon realize he isn’t the only one who needs saving . . .
My Covers:
Well, please tell me what you think! I really loved the simplicity of the original Freefall cover. Plus, I always find myself doubting my cover when I haven’t read the book yet. All I have to know about the book is the tiny description given and I like for my covers to be original too, but supportive of the book’s story.
